COLLEGIATE CREDIT PROGRAM
Flexible Alternatives For High School Students

High school students can customize their high school experience by attending the Collegiate full time or part time. They may attend during the day, evening or summer and even while attending another public or private school. Students may start a credit at the Collegiate or may transfer an existing course from another school to the Collegiate.

The students in the Collegiate are a diverse group. They may complete University or College level courses. Some of our students struggle with school while others are superior students who work to increase their success in specific courses.

The Collegiate is inspected as a Private School by the Ontario Ministry of Education & Training. As an inspected private school we follow the Ontario curriculum and are required to complete a minimum 110 hours for a full course and 55 hours for an upgrade.

Courses are provided in most subject areas and at all grade levels. Chisholm has a maximum of three students per class.

We ensure that each student is taught in a manner that facilitates their learning style and consequently we use a variety of teaching methods and materials. The small group setting ensures that each student is supervised to the maximum.

The guidance aspect of the Collegiate uses other Chisholm resources such a cooperative education, personal and vocational counselling, assessment, individualized programming and post secondary application processing.

Student progress is monitored closely by the program coordinators, and they provide ongoing feedback to parents and students.
