Chisholm’s Programs and Services
More than just a high school or educational service, Chisholm provides students, including those with special needs, with a variety of educational options including:
- Private high school
- Educational assessments and counselling services
- Tutoring services
Private High School
Chisholm is truly unique among private high schools, having the ability to educate students who are gifted, of average ability or who have learning, attentional (AD/HD), or processing deficits. We also provide services for students with difficulties resulting from head injuries (ABI). Individual Education Plans are developed for each student based on their unique learning style and needs. Our programs include:
- Traditional private high school for students experiencing difficulties
- Customized private high school programming to enhance students’ learning
- Individual credit courses for students attending other high schools
Educational Assessments and Counselling Services
Psychoeducational assessments can help detect academic challenges, under achievement, dyslexia and other learning disabilities, school-related anxiety, attentional weaknesses or AD/HD, social difficulties and other obstacles to learning. Educational assessments also help to identify gifted abilities.
Chisholm provides psychoeducational assessments and counselling for students of all ages including elementary, secondary and post-secondary students.
Tutoring and Remediation Services
Tutoring helps struggling students and children with learning difficulties to develop academic skills and self confidence. Skill building programs are also available, including Organizational and Study Skills, E.S.L. Instruction, Essay Writing, Computer Skills Training, Grade 10 Literacy Test Preparation and S.S.A.T., S.A.T. and GED Preparation. Providing students with the tools to achieve academic success is what Chisholm’s tutoring services are all about.
