Chisholm has completed more than twenty-thousand (20,000) psycho-educational assessments since the 1980’s. This level of experience and quality is unmatched in a private practice setting.
We ensure the accuracy of the results through a unique collaborative model of staff supervision that demands input from multiple staff members on each case.
The scoring, interpretation and diagnoses are always reviewed by a senior clinician.
Our counselling practice is managed with the same rigour and expertise as assessments.
Our post-secondary practice is one of the first in Ontario. We have worked extensively with most colleges and universities in the province and have ongoing relationships with most special needs offices.
We are proud to note that most referrals are from parents who have recommended our services to their friends. Another significant referral source is psychiatrists, pediatricians and family doctors. Our largest parent occupational group is teachers in our public school system who value us in working with their own children.
We have an extremely cooperative relationship with all school boards in our area. Many of their staff were trained at Chisholm, and the boards recognize the quality of our work and the appropriateness of our recommendations.
Experience, quality, collaboration and addressing the concerns of parents makes Chisholm stand out in our community.
